Drink Stations

There will be one drink station located on Granite Island just after you have crossed the causeway.

Only compostable cups made from plant-based materials will be used during the Granite Island Run to minimize our impact on the environment. Please try to hit the bins provided at the drink station and be aware that littering on the course will result in disqualification.  Runners may also carry their own drink bottle or cup to refill at the drink station.

Cut Off Time

All courses at the Granite Island Run will be closed at 9:30 am to permit the horse drawn tram to begin operating.

A tail runner will follow the last runner around the course for safety reasons and to relieve marshals from their positions. If you fail to maintain the minimum pace you may be asked to stop and return directly to the finish area. This is the last thing we want to do on race day so if you are not confident that you can complete 10.5K in under 2 hours please enter the short course event instead.

Marshals

Please be courteous to our marshals and other volunteers. Remember that they are giving up their Sunday morning to make sure that you will enjoy your run.

ALWAYS FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN BY COURSE MARSHALS.

Presentations

Trophies will be awarded to the first 3 male and first 3 female place-getters in the Granite Island Run long course. Presentations will be made at the finish line once the last runner/walker has finished (approximately 9:30 am).
